The case for a clean hull

A well-kept bottom is the cheapest performance upgrade your boat has.

In warm Gulf water, growth returns fast. Staying ahead of it protects three things that matter to every owner — and quietly pays for itself.

i.

Fuel & speed

Even a thin layer of growth adds drag. A clean hull restores lost RPMs and burns less fuel on every trip.

ii.

Your running gear

Healthy anodes and clean props prevent galvanic corrosion from quietly eating expensive metal below the line.

iii.

Resale & longevity

Consistent maintenance — with a documented record — protects the value and lifespan of the whole vessel.

Founder-led, standard-driven

One standard, set by the founder — held by every diver.

Misting Monsoon Diving was founded by Jarrett Maryon, a PADI Advanced Master Diver and certified Dive Instructor, on a simple principle: every dive documented, every owner told the truth about their boat. As the company grows across Pinellas County, that principle doesn't bend — every diver we put in the water is trained and held to the founder's standard.

No rotating subcontractors. No guesswork about who's under your boat or whether the work was done right. Whether it's Jarrett on the dive or a diver he trained, you get the same documented, no-shortcuts standard — and the same proof in your inbox afterward.

Jarrett started this company on three non-negotiable principles: integrity, a fanatical attention to detail, and a growth mindset — adapting to new processes and technology with one intention, to always provide the absolute best service to the customer.

How often should I have my hull cleaned in Pinellas?
In warm Gulf waters, most boats do best with cleaning every 3–4 weeks. In the hottest months, rapid growth can call for service every 2–3 weeks to protect your bottom paint and performance. We'll recommend a cadence based on how and where you keep your boat.
Can you clean the hull while my boat stays in the water?
Yes. All work is done in the water at your slip or dock — no haul-out, no yard bill, no downtime. Most cleanings take from one to a few hours depending on size and growth.
How do I know my zinc anodes need replacing?
Anodes are typically replaced once they're around half depleted. We inspect them on every visit and only replace them when it's genuinely needed to protect your shafts, props, and other underwater metal.
Will I get proof of the work that was done?
Always. Every dive ends with before-and-after photos or video plus a short condition report sent straight to you — so you know exactly what was done and the state of your boat.
What areas do you serve?
All of Pinellas County — St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Gulfport, Tierra Verde, St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, and Dunedin.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Misting Monsoon Diving LLC is a licensed and insured Florida company, founded and led by a PADI Advanced Master Diver and Instructor, with every diver trained and held to that standard.
